Not eaten enough chocolate this Easter?

Tomorrow Im having all the family around for an Easter BBQ, I thought it would be lovely to make some delicious Chocolate muffins for all to enjoy. These muffins are extremely easy to make and only took 30mins including prep time, so you dont have to be 'Nigella' to be able to create these delicious treats!! (click on the recipe below to enlarge)

Have a look at my photos, instead of using muffin cases I have used square bits of tissue paper, cheaper and definitely more pretty don't you think?

It is not everyday...

I was on my way home yesterday after a fairly long stressful week at work, yet again, the train was delayed... quelle surprise! but as I stepped onto the train, something completely unexpected happened which turned my grumpy mood around.. i sat on my seat and found this, that lifted my mood instantly.. it was like somebody had put it there just for me..

I know what you are thinking.... Laurence, get a life...

It is not everyday...

Well, it is not everyday that you have a friend who make the full page of a magazine.... well done Helen, I have always told you that you were more than just a pretty face!

Yoyo Ceramics has some fabulous ceramics objects which will put a smile on your face.... I love the new ceramic notepad, a witty idea which now can be found in Marks and Spencer,  the "Rubber" Glove Sink Tidy a fabulous trompe l'oeil.. and, Is That Plastic? range must be viewed!! I personally have a couple of items in my kitchen!

The HomeSpun Ethos

We are on a mission! This event (and many others to come) will aim to reclaim craft of local and talented makers and artists who are interested to sell the fruits of their handcrafted creations.
Independent designers and crafters from this area who make unique handmade items will be able to hire a table at a small fee at our event. When you buy at HomeSpun, you are getting something you won’t find on the high street and you are also helping small businesses in our community.

Our philosophy;
We believe that there are many talented people who make wonderful things and that those deserve a better platform. Small scale production and handmade goods offers way to manage resources effectively and to support local economies... Making things is enjoyable and we want this to be a fun event and to share it with our community.

The HomeSpun blog is also a platform to showcase your creations so please (wherever you are) contact us and select artists will receive a blog feature ...We will be sharing our thoughts, things that we love and that we like the look of, so visit us again soon...

thank you
